Christmas Tree Pastry with Halloumi and Garlic

Execution
Preheat the oven to 190-200°C (375-400°F).
Defrost the puff pastry sheets.
Finely chop the garlic and parsley.
Melt the butter. In a bowl, mix the melted butter, chopped garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper.
Grate the halloumi and mozzarella using a coarse grater.
Place the first sheet of puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the butter-garlic mixture evenly over the pastry. Sprinkle the grated cheeses on top. Cover with the second puff pastry sheet.
Use a knife to cut the pastry into the shape of a tree (a triangle). Make small slits along the sides of the tree and twist them slightly to form "branches."
Use the leftover pastry to cut out star shapes.
Beat the egg with one tablespoon of water and brush it over the top of the puff pastry.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden brown and puffed.
Let the puff pastry Christmas tree cool slightly and serve warm.
