Hello everyone! I’m Christina Christofi, the one who makes corn-based desserts and rice pudding without rice! No, no, no… don’t get stressed!
Here, we’ll be making recipes together—affordable, quick, and with ingredients you probably have left over in your kitchen. If you do have any leftovers, that is, because with a chubby dog and a greedy cat… it’s a challenge for me to keep any.
Thank goodness for them, though, since they get me out for a walk now and then… because aside from restaurants, you won’t see me hanging out anywhere else.
How It All Began

2014
Secretly from my family (it wasn’t in their plans), I started studying to get into culinary school.

2015
Voilà! I get into culinary school, and my mother develops high blood pressure and starts taking medication.

2017
I graduate from culinary school and pack my bags for France. Well, not Paris exactly… but a small tourist village, Cassis. All the money I made, I "invested" in eating mussels.

2020
COVID hits. Everything shuts down, and I head to England to continue my studies in Derby. Another European "capital," as you can imagine, welcomes me.
No complaints; life was good! I cooked so much at home that when I returned to Cyprus, I had 5 extra kilos “in my pocket.”

2021
The most important Englishman in my life, however, I met in Cyprus. The sweet Mr. David, who gave me the opportunity to take on the role of chef at his restaurant in Pissouri. What did you think? That it would be in the center of Nicosia? All this at the age of 24. Grateful!

2023
MasterChef chapter… A call on my phone… “Your application has been accepted.” And because life is too short not to take risks… six months later, I was living the dream in the finals.

Still going strong! Here I am, cooking every day, posting recipes, and eating everything I make. I’m writing my first cookbook and already thinking about the second. Can’t wait...
THE SQUAD

Philippos & Thea
Voila! Here are the strategic managers, Thea and Philippos! Every day, they hear all sorts of crazy things—from me, from the team, from everyone! But they’re still strong and unstoppable! Thea eats but never gains weight (it’s her secret, I know), while Philippos enjoys fishing and creating gourmet dishes in his kitchen.

Nina
Nina is our graphic designer, and every funky element you see on this page is hers! I trust her taste completely, which is why she often joins me on various projects, like my cookbook. But during video call meetings, we’re never alone! On her screen, her cat Tiger always makes an appearance, and on mine, it’s my cat Toastakis, who both always have an opinion on everything.

Andreas
Andreas, our talented web designer, is the person behind all the delicious visuals you see here! He makes sure everything goes live perfectly, with attention to detail and a passion for his work. In his free time, he’s hard to find… because he’s lost in the rhythm of the “bachata”!

Kyriaki & Stella
Then there are the two wonderful women behind the production of my book! Stella, the photographer (on the right), started as a chef and surely knows how to eat well (maybe that’s why I chose her in the first place!). Kyriaki, or Kyri (on the left), is the “chef” of page layout, and her work is always flawless. At our first meeting, we ate taramosalata and mussels, and that’s when I knew we were the perfect team!

Anthoula
Anthoula is the creator behind most of the plates and bowls you see in the recipes, all crafted with passion and clay. I keep bringing her new ideas for clay projects, and she listens to me with a smile, never saying a word! If you ever visit her studio, you’ll see that the plants there have started stealing the show (and will soon surpass the ceramics!). Perhaps the biggest food lover I know, she wakes up and goes to bed with food on her mind!
