For the topping:

grated cheddar cheese
Execution
Peel and finely chop the onions and garlic. Slice the bell peppers into strips.
Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the ground beef and smoked paprika. Sauté until browned.
Add the onions and garlic to the pot and continue sautéing until softened.
Stir in the bell peppers and cook for a few more minutes.
Boil a pot of water with a beef stock cube. Once boiling, add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
When the pasta is ready, add it to the beef mixture.
Turn off the heat and mix in the ketchup, mustard, cream cheese, grated cheddar, and chopped gherkins. Stir until well combined.
Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Top with the remaining cream cheese and cheddar cheese.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for approximately 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven, garnish with additional pickled gherkins if desired, and let it cool slightly before serving.
