Baked feta parcels with sour cherry spoon sweet

feta cheese
4
phyllo pastry sheets
1
egg (for brushing)
500 ml
sunflower oil, for frying
⅓ bunch
chives for tying (optional)
For serving
50 g
cherry spoon sweet + a little of its syrup
Instructions
Cut the feta into small rectangular pieces. Cut each phyllo sheet into rectangular pieces, quite a bit larger than the pieces of feta.
Place a piece of feta in the center of each sheet. First wrap the feta by rolling the sheet so that a small “cylindrical parcel” is formed.
Then, gently press and twist the two ends in opposite directions so they close and it takes the shape of a candy. Seal the ends with a little beaten egg so they hold their shape during frying.
Heat sunflower oil in a frying pan over medium to high heat. Fry until golden and crispy on all sides.
Transfer them to absorbent paper to drain and tie the two ends with chives.
Serve warm, topping with small cubes of cherry spoon sweet and a little of its syrup.
