Easy Cheesy Chicken with Onion Sauce

chicken breast

paprika
½ tsp
garlic powder

olive oil

grated cheese (mozzarella)

onion, sliced
2 tbsp
butter
1 tbsp
flour
1 tbsp
mustard
250 ml
water
1
chicken stock cube
20 ml
balsamic cream
Salt
Pepper
Execution
Cut the chicken breast in half and marinate with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Heat a pan with olive oil, cook the chicken until golden brown, and set it aside on a plate.
In the same pan, add butter and onion. Sauté on low heat for about 20 minutes until soft and caramelized.
Once the onion is softened, add flour and mustard, stirring well.
Pour in the water, add the chicken stock cube, and balsamic cream.
Let the sauce simmer and thicken.
Return the chicken to the pan, sprinkle grated cheese on top, cover with a lid, and let it cook for 10 minutes until the cheese melts and the chicken is fully cooked.
Serve warm.
