For the brownie:
125 grams
Charalambides Christi's Original margarine (half a box).
170 grams
dark chocolate (70 grams are kept in pieces)
170 grams
sugar
3 medium
eggs
1 teaspoon
of baking powder
1
vanilla pod
60 grams
all-purpose flour
30 grams
of cocoa powder
1
pinch of salt
For decoration:
Various fresh berries and figs
Anglaise sauce from chocolate milk
Method of execution
Preheat the oven to 175°C.
Place the margarine and chocolate in the microwave or alternatively in a bain marie over medium heat until the mixture melts.
Add the eggs , sugar and vanilla and mix until combined. Sift in the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder and a pinch of salt and stir to combine.
Pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Bake in a preheated oven for 35 minutes, until cooked through - you should be able to test with a toothpick if there is still moisture so that your brownies come out soft. Wait for it to cool before cutting it into square pieces. **(They will continue to firm up after we take them out of the oven.)
Cut into pieces and add fruit and chocolate sauce.
