Salmon with sweet soy sauce and honey

500 gr
skinless salmon fillet
1 tsp
smoked paprika
1 tsp
garlic powder
1 tsp
onion powder
3 tbsp
olive oil
2 tsp
garlic, finely chopped
1 tsp
grated ginger
50 ml
light soy sauce
70 ml
honey
2 tbsp
rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
For serving:
2 tsp
sesame seeds, for garnish
2 tbsp
fresh spring onion, finely chopped
Steamed white rice
Execution
Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and cut them into 2 cm cubes.
In a large bowl, toss the salmon cubes with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
Add half of the salmon cubes and sauté for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden. Remove and set aside. Repeat with the remaining salmon cubes.
In the same pan, add the remaining 1 tbsp of olive oil. Sauté the garlic and ginger for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Add the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and honey to the pan. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
Return the salmon to the pan and gently toss to coat it in the sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
Garnish with sesame seeds and fresh spring onion. Serve warm with steamed white rice.
